Positive Spin has participated in the Sprint, Splash, n’ Spin Triathlon Kids Race http://moncountyhfh.org/how-to-get-involved/2013-sprint-splash-n-spin-triathlon/ for several years by providing a bicycle safety check station. This year the event is being held August 23.

The Kids Race is a busy event with over 200 participants. In response, organizers have decided to host two race sessions: Noon-2pm and 4:00-6:15pm

We need at least 4 volunteers at each session, more would be even better. Volunteers can choose to participate in one or more of these tasks:

1. Bicycle safety check and repairs (we need a least 2 mechanics) 2. Pump tires or have a mechanic repair/replace tube if tire(s) don't hold air 3. Helmet safety - check that helmets are being worn properly - video http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=dKo791h2hfE&t=166

4. Hand out promotional material and apply sticker to kid's helmet if they pass the safety check.
