Yeah, I have found a lot of tuners and tuner apps don't work well with upright bass.

Awesome; thanks J! Dangit, I gotta quit leaving that thing around. When I borrow a tuner it often does not work. I won't be around this weekend, so I'll get it when I get over there week after next. Phew!
