Will,
This is an excellent program. While this program has existed in the past, the decisions concerning it in relation to Positive Spin were made by a non-board based management. However, since April 20th we now have a formal Board of Directors, and our meeting is only 2 weeks from now on September 9th at 7:00 pm. Please ask Earl Schiffbaurer, who probably is not aware of the change, to either come in person, send a representative, and/or send a report to the Board prior to the meeting so that we can study the parameters of the request. Preferably, Earl would come in person and send a report before the meeting. We are still in the process of rebuilding and restructuring the organization, and we have a packed agenda schedule, with limited time at meetings.
Thank-you for following up on this!
Reports and agenda requests should be sent to the Board Chair, Jonathan Rosenbaum jr@wvcompletestreets.org .

Yesterday afternoon Earl Schiffbauer stopped by Spin to inquire about continuing the collaboration between MTEC and Spin.
Earl uses bicycle repair as a method to teach mechanical skills to his students. In the past we have provided bicycles and parts and they have then donated the repaired bicycles to us.
They currently have 20-30 bicycles that were donated directly to them but will need some parts from us. The advantages of continuing this cooperation were so obvious to me that I readily agreed. So if we get lists of needed parts please try to find them or get the list to me and I will see what I can find.
Nathan & Andrew - might be a great chance to talk to MTEC students about the science of bicycling.
