Update for Thursday: We are offering a volunteer-only shop, Thursday (today), July 21 from 3pm - 9pm specifically for the purpose of providing time for volunteers to work on bicycles that we will be sending out to the flood victims in southern West Virginia. Keep posted for additional special openings over the next few days. Please note that these dedicated opening are for volunteers only, and are not for patrons or personal work; this policy will be strictly enforced. However, bicycle related donations for flood victims will be received during this time. -Jonathan

Bike Ride - Today - Spin with CRC! Potluck!

Eventful weekend for Positive Spin!: On Sunday (Today), 1pm, we will bike again on another famous Spin with CRC ride, but instead of heading up Deckers Creek trail, our destination turnaround point will be Point Marion where you can refresh at a grocery store. If you are inspired you can continue to the Cheat Lake hydroelectric plant. This will be a completely flat ride! Keep in mind that you can ride whatever distance you want, that is one of the nice aspects about group trail rides. We will have an informal potluck picnic at Positive Spin about 4:30pm. Please bring a dish to share, or food can be purchased in Sabraton. Eric wants everyone to know that we have enough mustard. A grill will be available. On Saturday, we were back at the MedExpress Kids Day. This year we had a bike available to be painted which was very popular. Along with the potluck, Matt Marino will be hosting a fundraiser with Mayberry's lawman Barney Fife <https://www.facebook.com/events/1096024677114846/> with all proceeds going to Positive Spin. While on the subject, Don Knotts was the actor from Morgantown who portrayed Barney Fife; on July 23 there will be a Don Knotts Statue Unveiling Celebration <http://www.tourmorgantown.com/events/don-knotts-statue-unveiling-celebratio…> at the Metropolitan Theatre.

Bicycles for Flood Relief

Positive Spin is collecting bicycles for those impacted by flooding is southern West Virginia. If you have an adult or youth bicycle that you would like to donate to this cause, they can be dropped off at our building in Marilla Park ( https://goo.gl/maps/Nf6HvKNzrzw ) within the next two and a half weeks. Don't have a bicycle to give? We are also looking for volunteers to help check, and possibly do minor repairs on donated bicycles. We could also use help transporting bikes to the Charleston area. Bicyclists appreciated - 4th of July Parade

Bicycles lead the Fourth of July Parade! All bicyclists, kids and adults--all ages--please decorate your bikes and meet at the top of High Street near BBT Bank at 4:30pm on the 4th to lead the parade down High Street. This is a wonderful opportunity to participate in a holiday tradition. A color guard will likely lead the parade and we will be the first group after that. Feel free to contact me with questions. Wanted: New Board Members

If you love what Positive Spin, Morgantown's 501(c)(3) Bicycle Collective, provides to the community, there is now a great opportunity to serve on its governing body. On *June 26*, Positive Spin will hold its Annual Meeting to approve the 2016-2017 Budget and elect Directors. Two Director terms are up for renewal, and there will be five additional vacant spots we would like to fill with enthusiastic people who are capable of committing time at taking Positive Spin to the next level. The 2016-17 season is going to be especially interesting because we will have to relocate to a new facility by July, 2017. Our current operating expense ratio is presenting a challenge so we are searching for people who have business acumen and fund-raising skills. Additionally, our organization would benefit vastly from people with event planning, publicity, and program coordinating skills. If you are considering serving, there is an excellent opportunity to experience our Board in action during our next meeting at *Positive Spin on Monday, June 13, at 5:30pm*. I am picking up a load (or two) of bicycles in Fairmont this afternoon so will not be available to staff the shop. If anyone has time please come on down. The ride with Countty Roads Cyclists also starts at 1PM at Spin. Everyone is invited to the 4:30 potluck following the ride. Will
