Board Meeting tonight & Spin with CRC - Oct 5

Meeting at Positive Spin tonight, Monday, September 8, of the BOD from 7:30-9:30pm. Please come watch us in action, and if you have any agenda items you would like to present at the meeting, please send them my way. Mark your calendars because on October 5 there will be another opportunity to spin with Country Road Cyclists on a ride up to Masontown, WV and back again. Positive Spin will have an informal potluck picnic after the ride. This will probably be the last such event of the year so don't miss out! -Jonathan

August 10 - Spin with CRC / Picnic with PS

Positive Spin wants to remind you that you are invited to ride with Country Roads Cyclists (CRC) this Sunday, August 10, at 1pm in the vicinity of Positive Spin. If you need to drive, there is overflow parking beside the skate board park. CRC will bike up the Deckers Creek Trail to Masontown (milepost 13), then return to the park. Keep in mind that you can ride whatever distance you want, that is one of the nice aspects about group trail rides. You can get creative, too. Some people drive their friends up, and then ride down the trail one-way, and designate another person to bicycle back up to Masontown to retrieve the vehicle. Positive Spin will have an informal potluck picnic about 4:30pm. Please bring a dish to share, or food can be purchased in Sabraton. A grill will be available. Word is that there may be a DJ in front of the facility! Positive Spin and CRC are partners, and I am glad to announce that we are indeed experiencing real results in getting new people out bicycling! On Monday, August 11, the volunteer board of the year will be having a meeting at Positive Spin at 7:30-9:30pm. Please come watch us in action, and if you have any agenda items you would like to present at the meeting, please send them my way. Thanks to WVU Center for Service and Learning, on Tuesday, August 12, the Mountaineer Success Academy <http://studentsuccess.wvu.edu/msa> will be sending between 15-40 incoming freshmen to volunteer their time at our location between 1-4pm to work on a project. Wanted: Used USB Scanner

In the spirit of recycling/reuse if you have a working flatbed scanner that you would like to donate to Positive Spin, please contact me. Positive Spin averages about 5 page scans a week, so it does not need to be fast or fancy. It just needs to be able to handle a normal paper size, and have a USB interface. -Jonathan

Kids Day & Board Meeting

We will be located right in front of the bounce house close to where High St. intersects with Pleasant St. Positive Spin will be open at its regular hours, 1-5pm on Saturday. A big crew of kids will be riding over at about 3:30 from Wagner/Simpson to Wilson, Grand, then Spruce. We'll be a huge group being very visual and loud. We encourage people to join us.

Kid's Day

Good afternoon: July 19th is Kid's Day downtown Morgantown 10am-2pm. Please come out and help volunteer and help support the event. We will have a table set up with information, bike repair demonstration, helmet fitting demonstration and display of unique bike(s). Great time for kids, volunteers and general public. Jennifer
