The north central city
of Morgantown, home to West
Virginia University, is
growing by leaps and bounds. It could soon outdistance other major metropolitan
areas and become the state's largest city. While some area leaders see this as
a positive development, there are issues that concern others.
Obviously, this growth will impact the total environmental picture including our air.
Also, I heard a report yesterday on NPR that mentioned Fort Martin as the “13th dirtiest coal-fired power plant in America. A search on NPR’s web site came up suspiciously blank. But found the story on the Environmental News Service (ENS) site:
