Greetings. December is here!!! This is to
confirm our MVCAC group meeting for this coming Monday, December 5th, at 7
pm. [John Gever plans to attend, to propose an additional (color)
hand-out.]
Location: Prete Building. Please use the next to last
entrance on the North Side.
NOTE: The Prete Building is located on the right side of
University Avenue, in the second block after Patterson Drive when headed
toward Star City. It's in the 3000 or 3100
block.
[I rented a house at 3041 University Avenue for three years
starting in 1968, a red brick house owned by a local barber turned developer
named Ray DeAngelis. The old red brick house was razed, and
now there is a professional building carrying the same address 3041. (We
had a fenced back-yard for two daughters, Tanya and Tracy and their dog
Tippy.) We had quite a fight over whether the Prete Building would ever
be built in the then existing residential neighborhood. Now Jim Prete plans
to add another building.]
