GIS status meeting?

Hey guys... I had previously discussed meeting with everyone (or everyone interested) this week to show you what I've done with our mapping and GIS. I wanted to show my progress and get some feedback. However, I just got back from vacation and things are pretty busy this week, especially since I might be travelling for work 1 or 2 days this week. I would still like to meet next week or we could just wait until the next BB meeting. Both have their benefits. If we meet next week, we might be able to present the results of our meeting to the BB during our regularly scheduled meeting. Or if we just decide to meet at the next scheduled BB meeting, more folks will be present and hopefully that will mean more eyes and ideas will be present! How many would like to meet next week sometime and at what times are you available? How many would prefer to just meet at the next scheduled BB meeting? By the way, how is the downtown bike parking project proceeding? How can I help? Univ of Minn Bike Commuter Center

Good evening, Some of you know that I'm a Gopher alumni and think very highly of Minnesotans (partly because I'm half-Minnesotan myself). You may also know that Hugh Kierig asked me to design a bike commuter room for WVUs new Multi-modal center. I wasn't entirely confident of my competence but I made recommendations. I now have something to compare to. Education Grant Meeting Thursday 6-8

Bicycle Board Members, According to the attached meeting minutes, we're supposed to meet tomorrow night to continue working on implementation of the Morgantown Effective Bicycling Education Program grant. Problem is, we don't have a place to meet. The PSC Conference Room, the PSC Training Room and the Council Chambers are all booked. Paul Becker offered his house but he's going to be in Pgh. Don Dickerson offered his house but he's going to be elsewhere as well. If you know a place where we can meet 6:30-8:30 pm please reply. If you are coming to the meeting, please reply. On April 7, 4-7 pm at the MPO office at the Morgantown Airport, the Policy Committee of the Statewide Multi-modal Long Range Transportation plan will take public comments on the plan. Dennis Strawn who I think is a member of the Mountain State Wheelers is on it. You'll find stuff like Complete Streets in the plan but you won't find bicycles mentioned at all and the emphasis is clearly on motor transportation and economic development. Very few people were involved in formulating the plan so I'm thinking it's still somewhat malleable. Whether you attend the meeting or not, I encourage you to read the plan (at least the last page) and send comments either through the website: http://www.wvtransplan.com/docs.htm or by letters. Maria Panaccione resigns

Bicycle Board Members, Last night, I received a message from Maria Pannaccione asking to resign. Maria will be out of town May-August and is overcommitted now. Since Maria represents the Youth Commission, we'll have to go to the Youth Commission for a recommended replacement.
